That day we went to Taj Mahal. It was the first time when I was going to see this miracle, large and beautiful tomb from very near. It was my wish.
At the way Taj Mahal was looking like this.-
We were being ceased at the parking area. From here we either have to go on foot or in a chariot or a battery operated vehicle. Its because of the pollution created by vehicles. Therefore we got a chariot. We asked him that how many years he was doing that job. He replied that around 40-50 years.
He took us first to a police station where nearby there was a handicraft shop. He told us that there handicraft items are made by the prisoners. I felt very strange. Generally prisoners were kept in jail and they are not allowed to work. But here, they make handicraft items.
We went in that shop and were being shown three cloth materials that are made there. All were strange. One of the cloth was made from bamboo. the material was rough when touched and little stiff, similar to the material of a saree. Another was made from banana. It was lustrous and as smooth as silk. Another was the most strange- a quilt- a 100 gram quilt. They were costly ranging between Rs.200-400.
Respectly a 100g quilt, a cloth made from banana and a cloth made from bamboo
As we reached the Taj Mahal we also took some pics with the chariot rider. He was very kind.
